Along with this is also included financial data that is shown as infographics, digital efforts, Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) practices and other statutory reports, making the report an ambassador document for showcasing its journey.

The M&M Annual Report was titled MANTHAN (the churn). The title positioning aptly captured the VUCA scenario (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity) that the world economy was going through. The VUCA led churn that the global economies were going through was throwing up both new challenges as well as opportunities.
The cover creative of a potter’s wheel amidst a back ground of churn – with two hands carefully moulding a clay vessel was symbolic of the emergence positive outcomes from the VUCA induced churn – Manthan.
The inside pages of the Annual Report showcased performance of the two key businesses of M&M – Tractor and Automobiles against the backdrop of VUCA that also affected the larger agricultural sector (due to sub-par monsoon) as well as the auto sector (due to subdued demand).
The key highlights we conveyed through a mix of typography and info graphics, making it easy for the reader/investor.
The Annual Report narrative closed with showcasing of new product launches on a double spread, to bring about the fact that even during a challenging year, the Company had continued with its innovation focus and confidently gone ahead with new product launches.

Some Annual Reports convey precisely and perfectly their key message right from the cover. HDFC Standard Life Insurance Annual Report 2015-16 is a perfect case in point.
Their theme “Partnering through Life” is beautifully depicted on the cover through the use of images and icon play showing the different stages of a person’s life. The circle is metaphorical of the ‘Circle of Life’ and alsosymbolises the Company’s promise of being a trusted partner to their stakeholders in their journey. The right selection of colours against a white background further lends the cover a very distinguished look. The theme is reinforced in the inside pages through the use of similar meaningful illustrations and colours as on the cover.
On the content side, the report provides a deep understanding of the sector and of the Company business, with the information being documented across several chapters – About the Company, Parentage, Chairman’ message – providing macro outlook to the industry and the Company highlights, MD & CEO’s message – providing very detailed insights about the Company operations and initiatives in the last business cycle and also on the way forward. The clean layout and lucid approach are continued in the statutory section, with the MDA section featuring the high use of graphs for better comprehension of industry and Company business.

This project was among the most important communication documents for InterGlobe Aviation Limited, whose airline IndiGo has redefined affordable air travel in India, and for WyattPrism, as it was the Company's first annual report post listing.
The points to be factored in while developing the report was that for the Company it had been 10 years of dreams taking wing by pushing the frontiers of collective progress. Thus, the task was to develop an iconic report that communicates the consistent growth story as well as elucidates the softer aspects of the Company - initiatives to augment passenger experience, people-centric activities that make it a 'Great place to work', and dedicated efforts towards community upliftment.
With the Company set to soar even higher on the strong pillars of internal strengths opportunity and internal strengths, their report with the theme "Aspirations...Airborne" is a well-thought through concept of its journey till date and the future growth potential.
Cadila Healthcare Ltd.
The Annual Report of Cadila Healthcare had a unique title – WHAT NEXT – to create a suspense and intrigue, and therefore, also get the reader excited to anticipate – WHAT NEXT.
The cover creative was a double-helix structure of DNA that also formed a question-mark. The dot of the question mark was the ZYNEXT 2020 logo, which is reflects the Company’s strategy till 2020.
The inside pages continued to creatively play with the double-helix/question-mark design element of the cover to showcase the narrative, including executive message as well as the Management Discussion and Analysis section, which was presented to readers in a similar design format instead of the standard non-designed statutory style.
IDBI Federal Life Insurance Company Ltd.
Empowerment of customers, employees, communities, partners, shareholders and the organisation through a large number of initiatives enabled IDBI Federal in unleashing collective growth potential and move progressively forward towards its vision of “Go Further” and facilitate holistic growth. This is succinctly captured in the theme line of the Annual Report – “Empowering People. Unlocking Potential”.
The Company strongly believes that the power of growth stems from the roots - its people - that nurture it. During the year, the Company took an offbeat route of sports and fitness to empower individuals. Thus sports related images have been used throughout the report in synchronisation with the initiatives taken by the Company. At ICICI Lombard, customer-centricity always takes centrestage, even more so when a natural calamity occurs and normal functioning poses a huge difficulty in the turmoil. This Annual Report is a tribute to the customer-centric culture of the ICICI Lombard team, who displayed outstanding commitment to reach out and reassure their customers and reinstate normalcy as fast as possible in the aftermath of the 2015 Chennai floods. The title: “Reaching. Reassuring. Reinstating” captures this uncompromising service culture of the Company.
The floods in Chennai in 2015 caused widespread damage. The city was cut off for several days with major damage to infrastructure, homes, vehicles and communication systems. While one can quantify and compensate for this financial loss, it is difficult to recoup the inconvenience and suffering faced by people directly affected by this natural catastrophe. Saluting the tenacity of the people affected by the Chennai floods, ICICI Lombard took several initiatives to stand by their customers in their hour of need. These steps have been enumerated in the Report through the separator pages. The cover design themed in red and grey features a hand reaching out to help those who are in need. The grey colour with cracks symbolises the hardship faced in the event of a disaster while the red colour stands for hope and solutions delivered by the Company.

Title LEADING FROM THE FRONT, the focus of Prime Focus’s Annual Report was to showcase its dominant position as one of the global leaders in the M&E space.
The cover creative used the element of origami birds. Amidst the flock of birds in light grey (symbolic of other players), a larger red bird was right ahead of the flock (symbolic of Prime Focus). It was this red bird that was leading the flock.
The inside pages of the Annual Report panned out to showcase various aspects of the Company, beginning with a powerful preamble on Page1 that underlined Prime Focus’s leadership as an innovator and highlighting the many firsts that the Company had to its credit in the last nineteen years. Creative Services, Technology, Film and Media Services and Evolving Technologies were showcased in separate sections.
Highlights of the year as well as Financial Highlights were conveyed using customized info graphics.
